New Beginnings – New Home!

Welcome to the new Gallowglas Army HQ!

I decided to shift from the old M. Todd Gallowglas domain to GallowglasArmy.com because my career and my amazing community have grown far beyond the name I’ve used for publishing fiction. I’d originally taken M. Todd Gallowglas as a way to designate my self-publishing works from my mainstream publishing, back when I was using self-publishing to make a few extra bucks with my storytelling shows at Renaissance Faire. Little did I know how popular I’d get. Little did I know that I’d eventually dive into the world of poetry and begin publishing using my Michael Gallowglas name. Weird the way some roads wander us through life.

I also never imagined having such a loyal and semi-rabid motley crew of fans, let alone that those fans would have a name, a battle cry, and a not-so-secret handshake. Now and then over the years, people have asked, “Why the #GallowglasArmy?” Well, one of my writer pals once asked me, “So, how’s the Gallowglas Army doing these days?” on Twitter. Since Gallowglas means mercenary in Irish, and I identify most with the Irish portion of my ancestry, I decided to run with it. The battle cry and handshake came later.

With all that in mind, and due to the Gallowglas Army’s support, here we are. I figured my birthday is the perfect day to launch this new domain. For those who have supported me over the years, thank you. For those who are new, welcome.
